Ford has introduced it’s pausing work on a $3.5 billion Michigan EV battery plant, citing a number slotof elements for the choice.
Based on The Detroit Information, Ford declined to straight blame the United Auto Staff strike, as a substitute blaming an unnamed multitude of points.
“We’re pausing work, and we’re going to restrict spending on development at Marshall till we’re assured about our capacity to competitively run the plant,” Ford spokesman T.R. Reid advised The Detroit Information. The spokesman went on responsible a “variety of concerns.”
The information comes at a troublesome time for Ford, and US automakers usually, because the strike takes its toll and the businesses face elevated stress from non-unionized automakers, akin to Toyota and Tesla.
