Regardless of Microsoft’s finest efforts, it seems the corporate has not succeeded in heading off an EU investigation into its bundling of Groups.
Microsoft has been working to handle EU issues over its bundling of Groups with Workplace following a grievance by Slack that Microsoft’s practices gave it an unfair benefit. The corporate has made main concessions, together with unbundling the app and even being prepared to cost for it.
In response to Bloomberg, these efforts don’t seem to have been profitable, with the bloc reportedly transferring ahead with a proper grievance. The EU Fee is reportedly getting ready an inventory of objections to ship to Microsoft within the coming months.
